Britton and Ceban win national titles
Daniella Britton and Mark Ceban have underlined their status as two of Britain’s brightest young talents after securing national titles at the 2026 18U Lexus Junior National Championships.
Competing at Roehampton’s National Tennis Centre, both grantees delivered standout performances to claim the biggest domestic junior titles of the year — a defining moment in their development.
Daniella produced a composed and commanding performance in the girls’ final, defeating Tegan Bush 6-1, 6-3 to lift the 18U crown. The victory capped an extraordinary period as she also claimed the 16U national title just days earlier — a rare and impressive double at this level event.
Her triumph also earns her a main draw spot in The Junior Championships, Wimbledon and a place in qualifying for The Championships, Wimbledon — a major opportunity for such a young player.
Mark Ceban lived up to his top seeding in the boys’ event with an assured run to the title. He defeated Joshua Craze 6-4, 6-1 in the final, raising his level after a tight opening set to take full control of the match. Ranked among the world’s top junior players, Mark dropped just one set across the tournament, underlining his consistency and growing authority on the court.
Like Daniella, his success is rewarded with a place in Wimbledon qualifying, offering valuable experience at the highest level.
Both players have benefited from Tennis First backing, and their success at national level marks a significant step in their journeys towards the professional game. Junior national titles are more than milestones, they are indicators of future potential. Daniella’s ability to excel across age groups reflects her adaptability and determination, while Mark’s dominant run reinforces his standing as one of the country’s leading prospects.
As they look ahead to Wimbledon qualifying and a busy summer of tennis, their success stands as a powerful example of what can be achieved with the right support.
