Lainee Ngassam Triumphs in France
Congratulations to Lainee Ngassam, who captured the Girls' 12U singles title at the Tennis Europe Category 2 event held at Tennis Club Cattenom in France.
Competing on the clay courts, Lainee displayed exceptional form and resilience throughout the tournament. She stormed through the early rounds without dropping a set, winning five consecutive matches to reach the semi-finals. There, she was tested by France’s Soline Choy but showed great composure and fight to come through a tough battle, winning 6–3, 5–7, 10–4.
In the final, Lainee faced Belgium’s Louise Grosemans and delivered a commanding performance to take the title in straight sets, 6–2, 6–1, a superb achievement at this level.
Lainee’s success wasn’t limited to singles. She also teamed up with Romania’s Maria Ridzi in the doubles event, where the pair made a brilliant run to the final, capping off an outstanding week of tennis and experience on the European circuit.
This performance marks a fantastic milestone in Lainee’s development. Testing herself against some of Europe’s most talented young players, she not only proved her ability to compete at the highest level but also demonstrated her growth, determination and potential for the future.
