The following players are currently receiving grants from Tennis First:
| Luke Bambridge born 21 01 1995 Luke won both the Prince Cup and the Eddie Herr international tournaments, and reached the round of 16 at the Orange Bowl (all 14 and Under events) in an outstanding trip to Florida in December 2009. Already 6 feet, Luke trains at the Mouratoglou Academy in Paris (whose successes include Baghdatis, Ancic and Mathieu). Getting started in tennis was no problem for Luke, as he had 2 older sisters who played to a high level. Although he is a full time tennis player, his studies are not being neglected, and he has already passed two GCSEs 2 years ahead of schedule through private tutoring. Ranked the GB No.1 and one of the top ten players in Europe in the 14 & Under division at the end of 2009, Luke was a member of the GB team which began the year by winning the Tennis Europe Winter Cup by beating France 3-0 in the final. |

He continued his good form into August when he became National 16 & Under champion by beating Morgan 6-2 6-4 in the final. At the end of 2009 Andrew was ranked Great Britain's No.1 16 & Under player and had achieved an ITF 18 & Under ranking of 239. | Liam Broady born 04 01 1994 Luke secured his first ATP ranking point on the grass at the 2009 Felixstowe Futures tournament after qualifying for the Wimbledon junior event, where he lost a tough 3 setter in the first round. All this from a 15 year old! Liam comes from Stockport and a tennis playing family: father Simon is Liam's coach and sister and former Tennis First grantee Naomi won 3 ITF events at the back end of 2009 to take her to a career high ranking of 327. A former semi finalist at the 2008 Orange Bowl and winner of the European Masters at 14 & Under level, Liam continues independently of an Academy, but accesses Manchester Northern and the Mouratoglou Academy in Paris (whose successes include Baghdatis, Anicic and Mathieu). |

The winner of the Summer Clay Courts and the Nationals Doubles winner in 2008, Lucy represented Great Britain in the Tennis Europe Winter Cup 2009. She has represented GB at three Nike Junior Tour world finals and has won ITF singles events in Libya and Cyprus, and doubles titles in Tunisia and Turkey. Freya trains with the Midland Academy at Loughborough and home town Nottingham, and will concentrate on improving her Tennis Europe ranking in 2010. | Eleanor Dean born 06 01 1996 Eleanor lives just round the corner from Wimbledon and trains at the NTC at Roehampton with national coach Richard Plews. In December 2008 she was a semi finalist in the U12 Orange Bowl. Strong showings in Tennis Europe events in May 2009 earned her the Aegon Junior Player of the Month award, and wins in Hungary and Bosnia saw her become the first junior player to repeat the award in successive months. In August she won the National Under 14 title, beating fellow grantee Katy Dunne in the final. All of which helped Eleanor achieve a year end Tennis Europe ranking of 27 at the year end, so with another year in the division she aims to achieve in the TE Grade 1 events in 2010 and looks set for a top ten ranking. She began playing at age 5 and lists her preferences for Black Eyed Peas and Hibernian Football Club – in common with another Scottish tennis player! Katy started tennis in Hertfordshire, following her brother, and now trains at the HPC at Halton, where she has been full time since September '09. For 2010 she wants to achieve a top ten GB ranking in the 16s and to enter the ITF junior rankings (U18) for the first time. |

| Kyle Edmund born 08 01 1995 Kyle is full time at the WIN Academy at Bisham Abbey. His family originates from South Africa, moving to Yorkshire in 1998, and Kyle achieved some early success as an athlete, winning the North of England long jump and 200 metres. He had an early year win at an Indoor Series U16 in March 2009 and became the Under 14 Clay Court Champion in May and the National Champion in August, achieving wins over Evan Hoyt, Christopher Pearce and Luke Bambridge (twice). These are an outstanding crop of 1995 born players, all ranked in the Tennis Europe top 20. But perhaps the two most outstanding results of Kyle's year were to reach the semi finals of the Orange Bowl and the final of the European Championships. In Florida, he beat No.1 seed Frederico Silva in the last 8 and finally lost a marathon match against American Mackenzie McDonald 4-6 7-5 6-4. As he enters his first full year of Under 16 competition, Kyle's goals are to achieve an ITF U18 ranking and longer term a top 100 ATP professional. |

| Elisha Gabb born 26 01 1993 Elisha is already ranked 146 on the ITF junior list (the 8th Briton in the list) and 14th in Great Britain (headed by Heather Watson and Laura Robson) and still has two more years of competition left. She has already reached the quarter finals of a Grade 1 ITF event (Berlin: July 2009); the semi finals of a Grade 2 in Spain and the finals of a Grade 4 in Portugal. She will use her Tennis First grant to find as many opportunities as possible to play more high ranking international events in 2010. A left hander from Middlesex, Elisha trains with WIN Tennis at Bisham Abbey, where she also continues her education as she prepares for her A Levels. Leaving her aptitude for swimming and athletics reluctantly behind her, she loves listening to R & B and soul music. |

| Oliver Golding born 29 09 1993 Oliver together with two other Tennis First grantees, George Morgan and Andrew Bettles, represented Great Britain in the Junior Davis Cup in 2009, reaching the finals. There they lost to Australia, but had two great wins against France and Argentina along the way. Oliver has a long term association with Tennis First as his Twickenham home is close to The Riverside Club where the Trust was born. In those days he divided his time between tennis, which he has developed independently from any Academy, and acting, appearing on stage in the West End. The No. 1 ranked player U18 in Great Britain and ranked 63 in the ITF world junior list, Oliver still has 2 years left as a junior. Having already competed in the Wimbledon Junior event in 2009, he wants to win a Grand Slam Junior title and is aiming for an ATP top 100 place. |

| Evan Hoyt born 16 01 1995 Evan has followed Tim Henman as a pupil at Reed's School in Cobham, where he and another grantee Andrew Bettles are developing their tennis at the school's Academy. Evan was a member of the GB team which brought home the Tennis Europe Winter Cup in February 2009 (with Luke Bambridge) and sat at No. 7 in the Tennis Europe 14 & Under rankings at the year end. Coming from Llanelli, it is hardly surprising that Evan is an avid Scarlets rugby supporter and everyone in the family speaks Welsh apart from Tom, Evan's father, but he is excused as he is American! Evan's immediate ambition is to end 2010 with a top ten GB ranking in the 16 & Under category and will use his grant to help him travel to European clay court tournaments. |

In February 2009 she was a semi finalist in the Grand Prix at the National Tennis Centre and in May she was the runner-up in the U14 Clay Court Championships at Queenswood, losing to No.1 ranked Alice Keddie, with whom she teamed up to win the doubles. | George Morgan born 07 02 1993 George had another year of significant progress in 2009. With 2 other Tennis First grantees Andrew Bettles and Ollie Golding, he helped Great Britain to a runners-up spot in the Junior David Cup in Mexico, scoring wins over Argentina and France along the way. With two years still to play as a junior, George won 2 ITF events in the summer at Nottingham (Grade 4) and in Turkey (Grade 5) and made his first appearance (in singles and doubles) at Wimbledon, where he performed creditably against the highly regarded 3rd seed Bernard Tomic. In 2010 he will be seeking to gain experience at other Junior Grand Slams as he strives for his longer term goal of reaching a top 500 place on the ATP Tour in two years time. A former winner of the U14 Orange Bowl, George has been a Tennis First grantee over several years. Home is in Bolton but training is at the National Tennis Centre, so part of the grant will be used for travel expenses. |

Ranked 18th in the players born '94, his 2010 ambitions include a GB ranking of top 5 and to improve his ITF (U18) position to 250 or better. She ended the year with a fine win in the Winter Grand Prix in Swindon. | Ruth Seaborne born 07 03 1993 Ruth needs Tennis First to enable her single parent Mum to meet the rising expenses incurred as Ruth seeks to fulfil her tennis potential. Ruth's outstanding performance at 2009's Nationals, where she lost to Amy Askew in the final, certainly got our attention with wins over Elisha Gabb and Sian Bayliss along the way. For the remainder of the year she has concentrated on senior events and reached the final of the Wrexham British Tour tournament in October, and the concluding Masters event (Grade 1) at Nottingham in December, losing a close match to Jessica Ren in 3 sets.
